Library had a special "Library Friends day" on a Friday night. I did my musical story time with an ocean animals theme. It was my first time with a group of older kids (We probably had over 50 there) so I was nervous. And although I would make a few changes if I did it again (as always), it turned out well. The kids especially liked the "draw a story" of the Fisherman and his Wife. It's an oldie but goodie and a good reminder for me too!
George was working so we made a night of it and went

My mom took me to Lion King as an early birthday present. Like 6 months early. I laughed pretty hard when the waitress brought me out a cake...hahaha! It was my first time to see Lion King and it was really cool - loved the costumes especially!

I could hear a little voice in the girls' room talking and peeked in. It was Clara "reading" Red Hat, Blue Hat... one of her favs.

These two boys are so fun! I walked in to them trying to arm wrestle... they needed a little coaching. I don't think Erik is necessarily stronger, but he definitely has more will power!

Activity Day Mother Daughter night. It was orginally supposed to be held at our house, but most of April was super cold and rainy. So we had it at the Mills. They have a great party room and a little gym. We had a great time painting frames, playing pickleball, and bouncing in the bounce house. Lucy did a lot of the planning and made invites (the 11 yr olds were in charge).

The MHS Volleyball team and coaches run a little clinic in April.Lucy played volleyball on Mondays(games)/Wednesdays(lessons) after school. She really improved and it was great experience for her.

While George and Cole attended the POPS party, the girls performed at their Spring Piano Recital.

I love the POPS party tradition Morgan school district has for the Kindergartners! Cole was so looking forward to this date with his dad! {And I love that they let the mom's and grandma's come to dress rehearsal... only way I would get some video or pics ;} Cole was so animated with his singing and actions. I sure love that kid!
We had lunch in the cafeteria to show Cole the ropes when he goes to 1st grade. Yum, those lunch ladies make some good stuff!

And we stopped by Austin's class to see his duck he's been telling us so much about...
Plus, his teacher candled his chicken egg for us. {She is seriously AWESOME!} Should be hatching in about a week! And they sang us the song they've been practicing, "I Love America!"
And then... someone had the fun idea for all the Kindergartners to meet at Classic Fun Center for a party! So the kids bounced and ran around like crazies. And quite few moms told me how much they enjoyed watching my expressive little Cole singing his heart out on the front row. Nice job, buddy! Whew... busy day (and not over yet)! And so fun to have Grandma Liz to join us!
